Dr. Curtis Henry
Dr. Curtis J. Henry was born in Sumter, South Carolina and raised in Lamar, South Carolina. He received his undergraduate degrees in Molecular Biology and Chemistry from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (Tallahassee, FL). After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Henry obtained his doctorate degree in Immunology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine (Winston-Salem, NC). Dr. Henry then relocated to Colorado where he conducted his postdoctoral training at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (Aurora, Colorado), where he was promoted to Research Instructor. In 2016, Dr. Henry obtained his first independent research faculty position at Emory University School of Medicine (Atlanta, GA) where he joined the Department of Pediatrics and the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at the level of Assistant Professor. In 2023, Dr. Henry returned to Colorado to serve as the Deputy Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA) for the University of Colorado Cancer Center, an Associate Professor of Immunology & Microbiology, and the Margaret Turley Grohne Chair in Translational Cancer Research.
Dr. Henry has always been committed to fostering an inclusive environment that optimizes the talents, potential, and opportunities for all demographics. He firmly believes that a society’s downfall begins when it fails its people; therefore, he works tirelessly to create spaces for expansion in health, education, economic, and social sectors as a tool to promote equity. This was the case when he first resided in Colorado, and he is dedicated to continuing this important work as a member of the Executive Board of the Urban League of Denver.

I am Michael Crossland, a driven and solution-focused serial entrepreneur, investor, and visionary. My passion lies in leveraging cooperation and innovation to deliver exceptional value for my clients. Over the past five years, I've left a lasting footprint in Denver's private and public sectors as well as within the community.
My entrepreneurial journey led me to co-found CFW Staffing, an organization that is proudly certified by the city of Denver as a Minority/Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE). This venture is a testament to my commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is fueled by a deep-rooted desire to make a difference in local communities, especially by providing meaningful employment opportunities to families and fostering strategic partnerships.
Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated an uncanny ability to close deals and deliver results. My vision is to continue building upon these successes, contributing to society, and turning visions into realities. I firmly believe that through collaboration and innovation, we can shape a future that is not only profitable but also sustainable and inclusive.
My commitment to service extends beyond my professional role. As an active volunteer with numerous local organizations, I am passionate about giving back and contributing to a thriving community. Being a father to a first-year college student and a proud parent of three, my children are my ultimate motivation, keeping me engaged and vibrant throughout the year.
Balancing a demanding professional career with a fulfilling personal life, I am constantly driven by my love for community, my commitment to positive change, and my dedication to family. This unique blend of personal values and professional expertise is what shapes a life that is both rewarding and inspiring

Anette Bowser
Anette Bowser is a passionate entrepreneur driven by a profound belief in the power of transformation and the potential within each individual. Her journey has been punctuated by diverse experiences, from lack as a child to picking up schooling and careers that trained and aided in youth supplementation. This range of interactions allowed her to fine-tune her understanding of the human experience and the potential for transformation.
As an entrepreneur, she channeled her personal and professional growth into the creation of Ladies of Value, LOVE – a pioneering life and social skills program for young ladies. Drawing from her own journey, LOVE aims to provide young girls with the tools to navigate life's challenges and become resilient, empowered women. Beyond LOVE, she embarked on a new entrepreneurial adventure – successfully building a direct sales e-commerce business and additional streams of income. This journey has not only expanded her horizons but has also allowed her to coach others through their business-building endeavors. Anette, taking a leap of faith to become a full-time independent contractor over the past year and a half has further enriched her entrepreneurial toolkit.
Her mission is to inspire change, to let every individual – especially young girls – know that their journey begins with self-love and their potential is limitless. She envisions a world where success is not determined by a challenging past but is fueled by the desire to create a better future. Through her experiences, she has learned that life can be transformed, that change is not just attainable but essential. It's okay not to be okay, and seeking help is a sign of strength. She is on a quest to create a positive ripple effect, to show that empowerment and healing are within everyone's reach.
